Key Features Pre-cut adhesive masks tailored for the Heinkel He111 1:72 scale kit Create precise, professional paint lines on canopies and clear sections CAD-designed shapes derived directly from the model kit for an exact fit Removes the necessity for freehand painting or intricate airbrush masking Saves time and boosts accuracy for modellers aged 8 years and older History The Heinkel He111 was among the most iconic German bombers of WWII, forming the core of the Luftwaffe's medium bomber fleet throughout the war. Initially conceived as a high-speed passenger and mail transport to bypass Treaty of Versailles restrictions, the He111 took its first flight in 1935. Its civilian role was brief, as it was quickly developed into a military bomber, first seeing action with the Condor Legion in the Spanish Civil War. History continued: The aircraft's unique glazed nose and elliptical wing shape made it easily identifiable over European skies. Early models were vulnerable to fighter attacks during the Battle of Britain, prompting enhancements in defensive weaponry and crew arrangements in later versions. Despite these challenges, the He111 continued in production and service throughout the war, participating in every major German campaign from Poland to the Eastern Front. These innovative masking sets blend traditional scale modelling craftsmanship with advanced design technology. By using the precise CAD files from the original kit moulds, each mask is crafted to fit perfectly, removing the uncertainty from one of modelling's most difficult tasks. The adhesive backing ensures the masks remain securely in place during painting, yet are gentle enough to remove without harming your base coats., Manufacturer: Hornby Hobbies Ltd
