Check to see if your forks are postmount (PM) fitting or International Standard (IS). The caliper holes on PM forks point backwards towards the back of the bike, and on IS forks they point sideways towards the wheel. Almost all rear caliper fittings are IS, so again, you may need a mount if you are using a PM brake Most brake calipers are made using PM fittings, so you may need an adapter if you have IS fittings on your bike.
