About Zinc Picolinate

Zinc is an essential trace mineral involved in over 300 enzyme reactions in the body, including DNA synthesis, protein synthesis and the maintenance of skin, hair and nails. The human body holds only 2-3 grams of zinc in total and cannot store it long-term, so a steady dietary or supplemental intake matters.

Our tablets use zinc picolinate \u2014 zinc bound to picolinic acid, a naturally-occurring chelating compound derived from the amino acid tryptophan. Zinc picolinate is one of the most commonly chosen chelated forms of zinc and is well absorbed by most users.

For long-term high-dose zinc use, pairing with copper is sensible since zinc and copper compete for absorption.

Approved EFSA Health .
